There is so much to do in the area and many of our guests say that they wish that they had booked a longer stay.  Below are our top ten things to do:

  • Visit Aberporth Beach.  If the tide is out far enough walk round to the next beach where there are steps that will take up up to the cliffs and if you follow the path it will take you to Tresaith.  Great for spotting wildlife and for blowing out the cobwebs on a windy day.

  • Visit Mwnt Beach and Ancient Church, build sandcastles on the sandy beach or climb the hill and look down on the sea (not for the faint hearted!).

  • Go to the family friendly Llangannog Beach and have an ice-cream at the award winning cafe.  We recommend the wild cherry and peach ice-cream.

  • Aberaeron is nearby and has a fantastic Quay with lovely restaurants and allows children the opportunity of fishing for crabs (lines can be bought for £1 locally!)

  • Go Canoeing.

  • Take a boat trip to Cardigan Island or around Cardigan Bay and see if you can spot a bottle-nosed dolphin.

  • Visit Poppit Sands and enjoy the vast sandy beach.  Its gorgeous in the summer but we particularly enjoy it on New Year's Day when some of our friends and family take part in the traditional sea swim.

  • Take time out and relax in our beautiful gardens.

  • Go for a drink in the Ship Inn in Aberporth
or go for dinner at the Harbourmaster in Aberaeron.

  • Go on a "beach crawl" and visit:  Aberporth, Tresaith, Poppit Sands, Llangranog, Mwnt, and New Quay.

We can help you to arrange canoeing, boat trips, bicycle hire and other outdoor pursuits such as horseriding or paintballing.
